Deekline & Wizard ‘Handz Up’ placed in new CBS Drama NYC 22

Thinksync are proud to announce that we have placed Deekline & Wizard’s ‘Handz Up'(Stanton Warriors Remix) in an upcoming episode of a new police drama. NYC 22 is set to air from April 15th on CBS, revolving around six new NYPD cops trying to balance their personal lives whilst working the streets of Manhattan. Robert De Niro Executive produces, along with Jane Rosenthan and Ken Sanzel.

Mugstar featured in this week’s Waterloo Road

We’re pleased to announce that Mugstar’s ‘Sunburnt Impedance Machine’ will feature in this Wednesday’s episode of Waterloo Road (14th). The award winning BBC television drama, now in its seventh series, follows the lives of students and teachers at a troubled comprehensive school.

‘Sunburnt Impedance Machine’ is taken from Mugstar’s ‘Lime’ EP, released via Agitated Records.

Wooden Shjips placed in episode of CSI: Miami

‘Lazy Bones’ by Wooden Shjips has been placed in a recent episode of CSI: Miami. Now in its tenth season and with over two hundred episodes, the CBS series is a spin-off of the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation series, following a South Florida team of forensic investigators working to solve crimes.

‘Lazy Bones’ appears on Wooden Shjips latest studio album ‘West’, released on Thrill Jockey.

Episode 16, entitled ‘Rest In Pieces’, aired on March 11th in the US and will air in the UK later this year.

‘Jason Becker: Not Dead Yet’ world premiere at Cinequest Film Festival

ThinkSync are proud to announce that the stunning documentary ‘Jason Becker: Not Dead Yet’ is set for its world premiere at this year’s Cinequest Film Festival.

Music Supervised by Connie Farr, ‘Jason Becker: Not Dead Yet’ is a feature-length documentary that tells the extraordinary story of Jason Becker, a musical prodigy and guitar legend, who has been battling with Lou Gehrig’s Disease for over 22 years. A terminal illness with no available treatment or cure, the disease has trapped Jason inside of his body rendering him completely paralysed. Using an eye communication system invented by his father, Jason is able to escape the confines of his own body and release the music that is trapped inside of his mind. ‘Jason Becker: Not Dead Yet’ is a story of dreams, love and the strength of the human spirit.

Saturday 3rd March at 6:30pm at the San Jose Repertory Theatre

Director Jesse Vile, as well as Jason and his family, will be in attendance for a Q&A after the screening.

Sean Conway retrospective at the ICA as part of LSFF

ThinkSync are proud to be involved in the upcoming retrospective of acclaimed director Sean Conway, held as part of London Short Film Festival. In association with Pinball Films, the event will be at the ICA this Wednesday 11th January.

Sean Conway has built a huge reputation in recent years, with Dazed and Confused founder Rankin describing him as “a f*cking genius”. Currently working on his debut feature film, Whorses, the event will feature screenings of his most celebrated work, a discussion with the filmmaker, and a post screening DJ set.

Black Vegas placed on new promo for E4’s upcoming reality game show ‘Playing It Straight’

‘Drop The Party’ by emerging dance-pop duo Black Vegas has been placed on the current promo for E4’s upcoming show ‘Playing It Straight’. The track is taken from their self-titled EP, released last year.

‘Playing It Straight’ is a reality game show, which challenges a girl to pick a straight man from a group of men – some of who are gay.

Dreams Of A Life theatrical release and receives nomination from London Critic’s Circle Film Awards

Carol Morley’s Dreams Of A Life opened in theatres this weekend to huge success.

Premiered at this year’s BFI London Film Festival, both screenings sold out within a day and the film was nominated for their documentary category award, The Griersons. The film has also been nominated for Best Documentary for the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards.

Dreams Of A Life tells the sad and extraordinary true story of Joyce Vincent, a woman discovered in her flat after being dead for three years.

BBC TV dramatisation of ‘The Borrowers’ set to air on Boxing Day in the UK

We at ThinkSync have recently completed the music supervision and licensing for a BBC TV dramatisation of ‘The Borrowers’. Scheduled to air on BBC1 at 7.30pm on Boxing Day in the UK, the film stars Stephen Fry, Victoria Wood, Christopher Eccleston and Robert Sheerhan.

The first venture for Working Title TV, the one-off special is also set to air in numerous countries worldwide and be released on DVD/DTO in 2012.

‘The Borrowers’ is a fantasy adventure based on Mary Norton’s classic novel and follows a family of miniature people living under the floorboards of a house.
