Great Stories Need a Big Screen – Love Cinema

The doors are open, the lights are dimmed and cinema is back!

Connie Farr, alongside Empire Design, worked tirelessly throughout lockdown to create the epic Love Cinema campaign which aims to not only excite audiences and entice them back to the Big Screen, but to also offer guidance on the measures put in place to ensure the safety of cinema-goers and staff.

The campaign uses three recordings of ‘This Little Light’ –  the legendary Dionne Warwick’s version, Rend Collective’s version as well as a bespoke piece by Equiknoxx specifically created for the campaign.

Fernando – Official Trailer

Amazon Prime have announced a 5-part docuseries following a year in the life of Formula One legend, Fernando Alonso, as he showcases his passion for competing and his determination to win.

Connie Farr and Dom Farley were the music supervisors across the trailer campaign for the docuseries entitled Fernando which is available to watch here.

Fernando is available to stream on Amazon Prime from the 25th of September 2020.

A Conversation With Spice – Music Supervision

Having made her start with collaborations with Beenie Man and Vybz Kartel, the newly crowned Queen of Dancehall, Spice, has racked up millions of streams with hits such as ‘So Mi Like It’ and ‘Needle Eye’.

Jenn Egan handled the music supervision for this 50-minute interview.

Perfect 10 – Music Supervision

White Riot – Music Supervision

‘White Riot’ tells the story of a motely crew of mavericks, artists include The Clash, Steel Pulse, Tom Robinson Band, X-Ray Spex and others, banding together to create Britain’s biggest ever civil rights movement. Through fresh interviews and archival footage, Rubika Shah explores the founding of Rock Against Racism in 1976 against a backdrop of anti-immigration hysteria and National Front marches.

Connie Farr and Dom Farley handled the music supervision for the film which is released today.

The documentary has received critical acclaim from the likes of Mark Kermode, and has received rave reviews from the Guardian and NME

After Love – Cannes Critic Week & Telluride 2020 Selection

Directed by Aleem Khan in his directorial debut, After Love is set in the port town of Dover in the South-East of England, Mary Hussain suddenly finds herself a widow following the unexpected death of her husband. A day after the burial, she discovers he has a secret just twenty-one miles across the English Channel in Calais.

After Love has officially been selected for Cannes Critic’s Week 2020 and Telluride Film Festival

Jenn Egan handled the music supervision for the film set for release in early 2021

Moffie

Directed by Oliver Hermanus and set in 1981 apartheid South Africa,  Moffie follows the story of Nicholas van der Swart, a young white man who is conscripted into military service by the white minority South African government during the conflict on the southern Angolan border to defend the Apartheid regime. He begins a relationship with another recruit in the barracks that quickly becomes more dangerous than the enemy fire that they are forced to fight against.

Moffie has been released to critical acclaim including reviews by Mark Kermode and Peter Bradshaw’s Film of the Week 

ThinkSync Music handled the music licensing for the film which is available to stream on Curzon Home Cinema in the UK now

Dream Horse – Music Supervision

Dream Horse follows the incredible true story of Jan Vokes, a cleaner and bartender, who decides on a whim to breed and rear a race horse in her Welsh village. With little experience but a lot of heart, the collective of townspeople follow the horse as he rises through the ranks against all the odds, ultimately pitting all of them against the racing elite in a nail-biting race for the national championship.

Connie Farr and Dom Farley are delighted to have been involved with the music supervision for this film which features an incredible selection of music including Manic Street Preachers ‘Design for Life’ and Super Furry Animals ‘Fire In My Heart’

Directed by Euros Lynn and starring Toni Collette and Damian Lewis, Dream Horse will make its premiere at Sundance Film Festival 2020 and will be released in the UK cinemas on 17 April 2020.
