Dream Horse – Music Supervision

A classic tale of triumph against adversity, directed by Euros Lyn, written by Neil McKay and starring Toni Collette and Damian Lewis.

Dream Horse is the true story of one woman’s extraordinary dream to breed and raise a champion racehorse on the allotment of her forgotten Welsh village – and of how she brings her entire community with her. Based on the documentary Dark Horse, directed by Louise Osmond.

Connie Farr and Dom Farley handled the music supervision for this film which features Manic Street Preachers, Super Furry Animals and Katherine Jenkins.

Dream Horse is released in the UK on the 4th June.

The Drifters – Music Supervision

Directed by Benjamin Bond, The Drifters follows the story of two outsiders in a post-Brexit England: Fanny, a French waitress, and Koffee, an African immigrant.

The pair embark on a sun-drenched road trip, an adventure through the summer to Devon. When they finally seem to find a haven in a small coastal town, their past lives start to catch up with them.

Connie Farr and Jenn Egan worked on the music supervision for this film which features the stunning song ‘If You Go Away’ by Rod McKuen, which he adapted from Jacques Brel’s haunting ‘Ne Me Quitte Pas’

The Drifters will make it’s world premiere on the 2nd of April, 2020

Creation Stories – Music Supervision

Written by Irvine Welsh, executive produced by Danny Boyle, starring Ewen Bremner and directed by Nick Moran Creation Stories is the unimaginable true story of infamous Creation Records founder Alan McGee and how he changed the face of British culture.

Featuring the music of iconic British artists such as Primal Scream, Oasis and many, many more that Alan McGee put on the map, this film follows the successes and excesses of the man behind so many beloved rock stars.

Connie Farr and Jenn Egan worked on the music supervision for Creation Stories which is now available to stream on Sky Cinema in the UK.

Sweetheart – Music Supervision

Directed by Marley Morrison, Sweetheart follows the socially awkward 17-year-old, AJ, who is dragged to a coastal holiday park by her painfully ‘normal family’ where she becomes captivated by a chorine-smelling, sun-loving lifeguard named Isla.

Sweetheart premiered at the Glasgow Film Festival to an incredible reception, and is now showing at the BFI Flare Festival. It has been certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, and has received sterling reviews, which you can read here:

Rocks Wins Best British Independent Film and Perfect 10 Wins The Raindance Discovery Award at the 2020 BIFAs

Sarah Gavron’s critically acclaimed coming-of-age drama, Rocks, won the Best British Independent Film last night at the 2020 British Independent Film Awards.

Rocks, which was nominated one of the 50 best films of 2020 by The Guardian, also walked away with the award for Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Most Promising Newcomer along with the Best Casting craft award which was announced in January 2021.

Rocks received a total of 15 nominations at the 2020 BIFAs, including a nomination for the Best Music Award for which ThinkSync’s own Connie Farr was named for her music supervision work on the film alongside Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch, the film’s composer.

Eva Riley’s Perfect 10 won The Raindance Discovery Award last night at the 2020 British Independent Film Awards. The film was nominated for two other awards including the Best Debut Director.
