UK Cinemas come together to celebrate National Cinema Day on 31st August 2024

On Saturday 31st August 2024, hundreds of cinemas across the UK are coming together for National Cinema Day to celebrate one of the nation’s favourite out-of-home leisure activities.

National Cinema Day was developed by cross-industry body Cinema First, with the support of the Film Distributors’ Association and the UK Cinema Association. It launched in 2022, achieving 1.46 million admissions in a single day and £4.4m at the box office, which rose by 6% to 1.56 million admissions in its 2023 edition, achieving £5.2m at the box office.

Participating sites are offering tickets to all screenings from just £4, to encourage people to participate in the event.

Many cinemas are showing a mix of recently-released films, as well as bringing back much- loved classics, many of which may not have been shown on the big screen in many years.

We did the music supervision for the trailer, created by Empire Design, which features the George Barnett cover of Robbie Williams’ Let Me Entertain You.
