Sarah Gavron’s critically acclaimed coming-of-age drama, Rocks, won the Best British Independent Film last night at the 2020 British Independent Film Awards.
Rocks, which was nominated one of the 50 best films of 2020 by The Guardian, also walked away with the award for Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Most Promising Newcomer along with the Best Casting craft award which was announced in January 2021.
Rocks received a total of 15 nominations at the 2020 BIFAs, including a nomination for the Best Music Award for which ThinkSync’s own Connie Farr was named for her music supervision work on the film alongside Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch, the film’s composer.
Eva Riley’s Perfect 10 won The Raindance Discovery Award last night at the 2020 British Independent Film Awards. The film was nominated for two other awards including the Best Debut Director.
