Elephant Days featuring The Maccabees to screen at BFI London Film Festival

ThinkSync are proud to have recently music supervised Elephant Days, a film made by act The Maccabees.

Accepted into this year’s BFI London Film Festival, it explores the people and community of Elephant & Castle, the area the band called home during the recording of their album ‘Marks To Prove It’.

‘J’adore Ce Flic’ used in Orangina C’est Shook TV Ad Campaign

‘J’adore Ce Flic’ by The Rebels Of Tijuana has been used in the current re-launch ad campaign for Orangina.

The spot shows a boy running down a hotel corridor, racing past guests to reach the lift to press the button first. To their own surprise, the lift doors open to reveal a French girl hula-hooping while shaking Orangina, to the upbeat sound of the French pop number.

The film ends with the new tagline “C’est shook.”

‘Tribes’ by Great Heat placed as title music for Sky’s The Force

ThinkSync recently placed ‘Tribes’ by Great Heat as the title music for a new TV show behind Manchester’s police force.

The 20 x 60 minute series will air on Sky One, with exclusive access to the busiest English police force outside of London.

The Force: Manchester promises to showcase the “astonishing drama” that officers deal with every day.

The series began airing on Wednesday August 19th.

The Last Sparks Of Sundown to screen at Prince Charles Cinema

The Last Sparks Of Sundown is set for release on the big screen. The film will run at the Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square from Monday 27th to Thursday 30th July at 6:30PM.

Music supervised by ThinkSync’s Connie Farr, the film stars Mark Chavez and Shenoah Allen (aka comedy duo The Pajama Men) as two hapless American brothers who travel to England to sell their late grandfather’s house. It also stars a crop of British stars including Miles Jupp (Rev, The Thick Of It), Kayvan Novak (Four Lions, Cuban Fury) Emily Bevan (In The Flesh, The Casual Vacancy) Christian McKay (The Theory Of Everything, Rush) and Olivier Award winner Sara Kestelman.

The film has been written and directed by James Kibbey and produced by Adam Dolman.

Atari Teenage Riot and Code:Manta placed in Syfy’s Killjoys

‘Cra$h’ by Atari Teenage Riot was recently placed in the opening episode of new Canadian show Killjoys.

Code:Manta’s ‘Dfck’ will also feature in episode five, set to air July 17th 2015 on Space (Canada) and Syfy (USA) simultaneously.

Killjoys follows a fun-loving, hard living trio of interplanetary bounty hunters sworn to remain impartial as they chase deadly warrants throughout the Quad, a distant system on the brink of a bloody, multiplanetary class war.

45 Years wins Best British Film at Edinburgh Film Festival

ThinkSync are proud to announce that Andrew Haigh’s ’45 Years’ has won the Best British Film award at this year’s Edinburgh Film Festival. Portraying a troubled marriage, the film stars Tom Courtenay and Charlotte Rampling and was supervised by ThinkSync’s Connie Farr.

The Michael Powell Jury was chaired by LA Times film critic Kenneth Turan, who called 45 Years “a quietly explosive film which represents classic filmmaking at its best. This is a measured yet provocative film, a masterclass in understated acting that was the unanimous choice of the jury”.

The film is set to be released in the United Kingdom on 28 August 2015.

Bellman synched in Gascoigne documentary trailer

ThinkSync recently synched Bellman’s ‘Accident By Art’ in the trailer for upcoming documentary about the life of English footballer Paul Gascoigne.

Bellman is a rising Norwegian Chamber-Pop artist with a string of releases under his belt.

The film will screen in cinemas for one night only on Monday 8th June, and released on Blu-Ray/DVD/DTO on 15th June.

‘D.I.Y.’ by A Band Called Quinn placed in The Royals

ThinkSync recently placed Scottish artist A Band Called Quinn in an episode of The Royals. The E! Entertainment show features Elizabeth Hurley as Queen Helena, a fictional modern-day queen consort of England.

The Royals airs on E! in the United States and Canada, and on E! in the United Kingdom and Ireland. ‘D.I.Y.’ is used in Season 1, episode 6.

First trailer for Man Up starring Simon Pegg launched

ThinkSync are proud to have recently supervised the international trailer for upcoming romantic comedy Man Up. Directed by Ben Palmer and starring Simon Pegg and Lake Bell, the film follows a single woman who’s mistaken for a stranger’s blind date, leading to her finding the perfect boyfriend.

Man Up will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, before opening in the UK on 29 May 2015. The spot features music from Mini Mansions and Vance Joy.

Samia Farah placed in Nickelodean film ‘Splitting Adam’

‘Si T’as La Parole Dub’ by Samia Farah has recently been placed in the brand-new Nickelodeon TV film ‘Splitting Adam’.

Starring Jace Norman (Henry Danger), Isabela Moner, Jack Griffo (The Thundermans) and Tony Cavalero (School of Rock), Splitting Adam follows 15-year-old Adam Baker (Norman) who thinks he has found the answer to all of his problems when he accidentally clones himself, but he soon realizes multiple Adams could mean big trouble.

The film premiered February 16th and is available to DTO and stream. View the trailer here
