Alice & Jack | Out on Channel 4 on 14th February

We are excited to announce that we were the music supervisors for tv series, Alice & Jack, out now on Channel 4!

Fremantle, Groundswell Productions, Me + You Productions and De Maio Entertainment have announced a new collaboration with Channel 4 on an original drama series from award-winning writer and film director Victor Levin (Mad Men, Mad About You). Alice & Jack stars Academy Award-nominated actress and producer Andrea Riseborough (To Leslie, Birdman) alongside actor, director, and screenwriter Domhnall Gleeson (Brooklyn, The Revenant).

Finnish film director and screenwriter Juho Kuosmanen, who co-wrote and directed 2021 Cannes Grand Prix co-winner ‘Compartment 6′, is the lead director and Hong Khaou (Lilting) directs the second block of the series.

Created and written by Levin, Alice & Jack is a love story for the ages. When Alice (Andrea Riseborough) and Jack (Domhnall Gleeson) first meet they’re bound by a connection so powerful it seems nothing can break it, but will their path lead them to a place of happiness and togetherness? Or will life and their own emotional complexities get in the way? Honest, intimate, and surprisingly funny, the series shows love in all its unexpected, technicolour, kaleidoscopic beauty.

Ruthless Rap Assassins featured in Getting It Back: The Story of Cymande – out on 16th February 2024

In the racially turbulent UK of the early 70s, a group of black musicians came together in South London with a common love of rhythms and a message of peace. Cymande – with the dove as their symbol – combined jazz, funk, soul and Caribbean grooves to form a unique sound. Despite success in the USA they faced indifference in their native Britain, becoming disillusioned and disbanding. But the music lived on, as new generations of artists imbibed and reworked their pioneering sounds in fresh ways. From Soul II Soul to De La Soul, MC Solaar to The Fugees, the Dove had spread Cymande’s message far and wide, prompting their return after forty years. This is their story.

Ruthless Rap Assassins – And It Wasn’t A Dream features in the documentary.

Click here to watch the trailer and the documentary will hit UK & Irish cinemas, BFI Player and Blu-ray on 16th February 2024.

Herm, Braun and company stoke the crowd before Dilo decisively takes the reins. Huge bar hops, avant-garde pads and Oakland’s colossal Courthouse provide the setting for an epic tear.
