BBC One – Rellik Trailer launched

ThinkSync worked on the promo for the upcoming BBC One TV series Rellik.

Rellik (“Killer” spelt backwards) is a BBC One police procedural television series created and written by brothers Harry and Jack Williams. The story is shown in reverse, starting when the suspect has recently been caught and then moving backwards in sections to finish at the beginning. The period of time backwards is shown each time on the screen.

Dead On Arrival film – music supervision

ThinkSync worked on the film Dead On Arrival which was written and directed by Stephen C. Sepher.

The film follows a pharmaceutical sales rep who visits a small town in Louisiana on business. He finds himself in a dark world of corruption and murder with 24 hours to live, running from the police, the mob and a sheriff that wants him dead.

Happy Death Day international TV trailer campaign

ThinkSync licensed Demi Lovato’s ‘Confident’ for the international TV trailer for the film Happy Death Day.

Directed by Christopher B. Landon, written by Scott Lobdell and starring Jessica Rothe, Israel Broussard, and Ruby Modine, Happy Death Day is an American slasher horror film. It follows a college student who is murdered on her birthday and begins reliving the day over and over again; at that point, she sets out to find the killer and stop her death.

John Maus & Molly Nilsson in The Tribes of Palos Verdes

ThinkSync placed John Maus’s version of Molly Nilsson’s ‘Hey Moon!’ in the upcoming film The Tribes of Palos Verdes.

The film is an adaptation of Joy Nicholson’s 1997 coming-of-age novel of the same name and stars Jennifer Garner, Maika Monroe and Cody Fern.

The Tribes of Palos Verdes comes to cinemas in the US on 1st December.

The Ballad of Shirley Collins

Widely regarded as the 20th century’s most important singer of English traditional song, Shirley Collins is someone who was born to invoke the old songs. Granted intimate access to recording sessions for Shirley’s first album of new recordings in almost four decades, the film also features contributions from the comedian Stewart Lee and David Tibet of Current 93. What emerges is a meditative and carefully textured piece of portraiture.

The film premieres at the BFI London Film Festival and then plays across the country. More information, including screening dates, is available on the film’s website.

 

The trailer for Mother! launched

ThinkSync licenced cues for the film trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s American psychological horror, Mother!

Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, and Michelle Pfeiffer; the plot follows a young woman whose tranquil life with her husband at their country home is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious couple.

Music placed in ABC’s Mustangs FC

ThinkSync placed Nadia Nair, Inni-K and more in ABC’s upcoming TV show Mustangs FC which commences on 11th October.

The TV show is a comedy drama which follows a group of girls who abandon the sidelines to start their football club’s first all-girl team.

Lean On Pete premiered at Venice Film Festival

ThinkSync recently supervised the music for the upcoming film Lean On Pete which premiered at Venice Film Festival last week.

Directed by Andrew Haigh, the film follows fifteen-year-old Charley Thompson and his failing racehorse named Lean On Pete as they travel across America.

Following successful reviews in Venice and being described as “rivetingly beautiful” by film critic Robbie Collin of The Telegraph, Lean On Pete will screen at the London Film Festival in October. It will be released nationwide on February 16th 2018.
