Wooden Shjip’s new album, West, represents an exploration of a vast and, for them, unexplored continent and all of the mythology, romanticism, and idealism that it embodies.
The steady driving rhythms are overlaid by thick and distorted guitar lines, both melodic and boundless. Where they may lead cannot be anticipated but following them is exhilarating.
ThinkSync have placed a track on a current ITV sponsorship ident. Rosie Doonan’s ‘The Girl I Used To Be’ is used in a bumper ident for prime-time show Countrywise, which airs on Monday nights and will run for 8 episodes.

Alec Empire’s ‘The Ride’ has been placed in upcoming thriller ‘The Entitled’. Directed by Aaron Woodley (Rhinoceros Eyes, Toronto Stories) and music supervised by Amine Ramer, it is set for release on September 6th of this year.
Synopsis: Paul Dynan’s life is turned upside down when he decides to kidnap three young socialites and hold them ransom to save his family. Things spiral out of control when his psychotic partners get trigger happy and his victims come with their own surprises. When blood is shed and his perfect plan goes horribly wrong, Dynan must fight to stay one step ahead of his own twisted game.

Codes In The Cloud’s ‘The Distance Between Us’ has been licensed for use on the international trailer for acclaimed actor Mark Ruffalo’s first foray into directing.
Sympathy For Delicious is an inspired and unusual film telling the story of Dean O’Dwyer (Christopher Thornton), also known as “Delicious D,” an up-and-coming DJ on the underground music scene in Los Angeles. When a motorcycle accident leaves Dean paralysed, he abandons his turntables for a wheelchair as his once promising career disappears before his eyes. The film also stars Orlando Bloom and Juliette Lewis.

ThinkSync Music are proud to announce that it will be hosting a number of panels and events at this year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival (15-26 June).
Now in its 65th year, the EIFF is Scotland’s premier film festival, and the longest running continual film festival in the world. We’re kicking things off in style with a concert from the boys at Chemikal, followed by two seminars focusing on the relationship between music and visual media.

ThinkSync has been appointed music supervisor for award winning filmmaker Carol Morley’s new project for Film Four.
Entitled Dreams of a Life, it tells the heartbreaking tale of Joyce Vincent, a woman found dead in her bedsit. Undiscovered for an estimated three years, she was found with the television still on and Christmas presents waiting to be wrapped. Joyce is played by celebrated actor Zawa Ashton, recently picked by Screen International as one of their ‘Stars of Tomorrow’.
The documentary is funded by Film 4, Channel 4, the UK Film Council and the Irish Film Board.
Casting agent is Nina Gold (Nowhere Boy, Hot Fuzz) and editor is Chris Wyatt (‘This Is England’). Composer is Barry Adamson (The Beach, Natural Born Killers). The film will be distributed in UK/Eire via Dogwoof Films (Age Of Stupid, Food Incorporated).
